Explorers

This is a four-week nature and water-oriented program for boys and girls entering 5th or 6th grade. Campers participate in outdoor activities including canoeing, camping, orienteering, rock-climbing, rocketry, archery, outdoor cooking, and group initiatives. Explorers should be able to swim comfortably in water over their heads. In swimming, we emphasize safety skills in and around the water. Children have an opportunity to earn a Discovery Day Camp Water Safety Certificate.

An important goal of the Explorer program is for campers to learn independent living skills; Explorers will participate in four exciting overnights. This program is limited to one group per session. Campers supply their own sleeping bag, mess kit, aqua socks, rain gear, and flashlight.
